This way I only have to run one supply line down to the spout instead of 2, one down to the twin ell then one back up to the shower? The tub side of the twin ell would then be pointing down behind the valve and supply the diverter spout. This would enable me to come out of the top of the valve with an elbow into the twin ell "in" port, another elbow out of the shower port and on up to the shower head. I know it has to be supplied from the top of the valve and the bottom of the valve plugged, however does anyone know if the twin ell can be installed vertically (tub supply port pointing down) instead of horizontally? My question involves the installation of the required twin ell for the tub spout. I'm installing a new Kohler k-680-ks thermostatic valve with integral volume control into a tub/shower remodel with a diverter spout.
